HTML ISO dil kodları web sayfanızın dilini tanımlar. Bu da web sayfanızın hangi dilde olduğu hakkında arama motorlarına ve tarayıcılara yardımcı olur. <html> etiketinin lang özelliğiyle dili tanımlayabiliriz. W3C'nin tavsiyesi ISO dil kodunun tanımlanması yönünde. Eğer Türkçe karakter problemleri yaşayanlar sorununu çözmek için bu yazıyı okuyorsa ne yazık ki ISO dil kodları bunun çözümü değil çünkü farklı bir konu.

Türkçenin ISO kodu "tr" olduğu için lang="tr" tanımlamasını yaptık. Bu şekilde web sayfamızın Türkçe olduğunu arama motorlarına ve tarayıcılara bildirdik. Diğer ülkelerin ISO kodlarını buraya tıklayarak öğrenebilirsiniz.
